It works on my computer that runs on Windows 8.1, so yes.

I think what he is saying is that he considers an update this big/good enough that, were it to be charged for, he thinks it would be well worth it.

Not necessarily to say it SHOULD be paid DLC, but he is paying it a complement in that he thinks it would be a good deal if it were.

Anybody else does this? When an update comes out i gather resources like wood, dirt, iron, etc. and instantly go to the guide to see if there are new recipes.

Terraria has always worked for all Windows Platforms, even Windows XP I believe (I tested it on Windows XP myself. Not the most smooth experience but it still worked).

Yeah. It'll probably even work on Windows 10.

No worries, guys, seriously, it's developed in C++ (I think) and it should work on almost any modern version of Windows. It's not like "Guys, I'm sorry to say, but we're going to start updating the game for only Mac and Linux"--No.
