    I was convinced Nintendo would bring back Super Mario Bros. 35 for the anniversary, perhaps updated to feature 40 players or something, but apparently not. That game really is lost forever, huh?

    Me too, when they said "one more announcement" I was pleading for mario 35 to come back (or mario maker 3, y'know that'd be nice too) and it ended up being the dinkiest looking yoshi game yet, and like I say this as one of the 0.03% of people who actually really like the yoshi games.

    I’m a fan of the Yoshi games too, Wooly World especially, but I doubt I’m alone when I say I didn’t particularly want a new one, at least when so many other games would have been way more exciting
    Since Wooly World they have felt the same just with different levels and a few gimmicks. Arguably it’s been like that since Yoshi’s Island
    I had also convinced myself that we’d get MM3 since it’s been almost exactly 10 years since the original

    The concept of that Yoshi game actually looks kinda interesting to me, since I'm a big fan of bestiaries in games. I doubt I will actually get it though, and it's a Switch 2 exclusive too iirc.

    Finally got the ascension 20 win. Shoutouts to pantograph and reaper for letting me heal back to full health for the second act 3 boss and to the GOAT snecko eye for carrying this run in general.

    I prefer mother 2, but mother 3 is nice too
    (I haven't finished the latter yet though)

    Mother 3 might also be my favorite of the trilogy, it's a tough call honestly. Earthbound has a better world and general vibes, but Mother 3 has a much more emotional story and characters with actual character.

    Logged on to the forums after a while again and saw my old post about my first Slay the Spire win, and man, I was so innocent.
    Right now I'm trying to beat ascension 20 and the amount of failed attempts is genuinely making me lose my mind.

    So I started playing Slay the Spire recently and I'm completely hooked! I just completed my first run, the first of many hopefully. :guidegrin:

    Well, I've never played Balatro, although it does seem fun too. From what I've seen it seems a lot more luck based than StS though.

    I'm low key disappointed Super Mario Bros Wonder didn't have an enemy cast roll after the credits like in Super Mario World, considering how many other similarities there are between the two games.

    I thought that was something just done in Super Mario Bros 2. Haven't played World yet, but that's interesting to know.

    I did enjoy the credits of wonder with trying to score points on the names.
