    Steam is a pain in the :red:. I usually stay in offline mode for that reason.

    At least through tethering my phone's signal I can download games in byte sized pieces.

    Well the internet features are trash yea, the security is just a bit overprotective. But thats why I use mostly offline like cerberus said with my games,no interruptions, no downloads.

    You can disable automatic updates for games, I thought? I find I don't really have much problems with Steam myself to be honest. But then again I haven't been downloading a lot of games from it, and most of mine are indie games that aren't updated that often.
