I don't think I've ever seen a fictional character go from so widely loved to so widely hated more than Jax from TADC inbetween the pilot and the rest of the episodes. Which is kinda funny since he never really changed, he just continued to be himself

The creatures video game series might be one of the weirdest things I've read about.
It's so overly complex that you can do stuff like accidentally starve the norns (the titular creatures you're supposed to care for) by feeding them honey, which has a sugar value but not a protein value. I appreciate the creator's efforts for the realism though.
