    That may be, but as you've noticed yourself, support for Windows XP has largely been dropped (or in Microsoft's case, completely).

    I think you can. I know you can do that with the hardmode ores too, if you get the ones you don't want.

    I'm not much concerned with Hardmode Ores, even if some are better than others (I learned it with Easymode ores). I'd rather reduce my luck test into only the strips.

    Work on this type of thing is generally best left till hardmode, as its impossible to tell where the new areas spawn, not to mention the random spots caused by altars

    I intend to avoid smashing altars, it's a totally uncontrolled factor. Meaning I'll have a lot of fishing to do for the ores.

    Water isn't very effective as it demands some manipulation. Pink Slime Blocks can be just placed, y'know.

    Well, it can be found all over and just requires a 1x2 body, and can be good to use if you don't want to be bounced up.

    Pink slime bounce is too weak, I hope they amp it up.

    People will for a FACT find bugs that could be gamebreaking that would need to be fixed or minor ones
    There is also the possibility of devs wanting to add more content
