Solarling (Solar): Summon fireballs that linger on the ground.
Stormling (Vortex): Fires 5 Vortex projectiles at you that obey gravity.
Brainling (Nebula): Shoots up a pink flamethrower from its back when near you.
Starling (Stardust): Summons mini Starlings that fly into you.

Also here's a comparison for my first attempts to the current ones:

The solaring scares me - the crawltepide would not be a kind combo with it.

The Solarling (I really need a better name) actually summons a Crawltipede every 10 seconds :dryadnaughty:
(Ok it doesn't really)

You can actually be a little bit off the ground and not have the Crawltepide attack you. So, you can jump over the Solarling's fire balls.

idk u could call it a sunling

You could call it (the Solaring) a Blazeling, a Flareling, or a Scorchling.

I personally think that the Stormling and the Brainling are the most dangerous.

As long as you don't fly directly over the Brainling it can't hit you, and if you're high up in the air or a good enough distance away from the Stormling its projectiles can't reach you.

How strong is that fire debuff?
The Storm
The Storm
Maybe too strong....
C#:
npc.lifeRegen -= 120;
damage = 8;
I nerfed it to 120, but it's much slower than that in game, about half.

Regeneration is half of what you put in lifeRegen, because it updates once every 2 ticks

60 DoT at that stage isn't particularly strong, I changed a vanilla item to make everything inflict 50 DoT and it's not really strong.

Ok that explains it, how strong would you recommend? It's post Golem, plus the MKII inflicts a weaker 30dps debuff and is post mech, I'm guessing that's too weak?

It really depends on how strong the main thing is.
Remember that making a DoT debuff the main selling point of a weapon is always a bad idea if none of your stats affect it (lookin at you Daybreak) so don't make it too reliant on it for DPS. 30 DoT doesn't sound problematic.

Well the weapon itself is very powerful against ground enemies as it creates tons of piercing projectiles with LocalNPCimmunity, the debuff is just a bonus.

Against airborne enemies it's not that strong though.
