So these are the true Spawn rates of the Vortex pillar

This is the last Derpling I'll add, the Moonling;

It spawns somewhat rarley in space post-Moon Lord and drops 1-3 of any of the fragments on death, and it fires Phantasm bolts at you.

Just seen that the fragments that the boulders of the stone launchers drop are made with the seed sprite

Well I finally added a Solarling:

Currently it drops fireballs on the ground, I couldn't think of anything else

Three Celestial Derplings: Stormling, Brainling and Starling.

Should I really add a Solarling? I mean that pillar's hard enough.

So I just gave it a Derpling that summons small flying Derplings, that fits the theme of summoner right?

Well I attempted to update the first ever vortex enemy sprite I made:

Well that's currently two new enemies for the Vortex pillar;

Perhaps I should slow down before it ends up having about 12 unique enemies.

Well I was able to get an NPC to shoot a projectile as long as it's within a certain range of the player, now to try and figure out how to make it only shoot if it has a direct line of sight instead of having it try to shoot you through walls.

Your mod seems pretty neat (by the pics)
