Console Black lens rarity

I have killed over 650 demon eyes and got 1 black lens. The wiki says that a black lens has a 1/100 chance to drop, yet I had to kill 650 to get one. Is their some kind of glitch that increased its rarity?

BTW it's always just the curse of the grinder that makes 1/100 seem like 1/1000 when you are trying to get something kinda rare
