I've tried using the Cloud Save functionality for the past few months and I've had more problems than it's worth. There have been three separate situations where I've lost my cloud character and world. Fortunately, two of those times I have been able to recover them by going to my Google Drive account and deleting current versions of the character and world files. By the way, I'm sure this isn't recommended. But the files were lost as far as I was concerned so what could it hurt? Plus, the files seemed corrupted (0 byte size) so deleting that version and reverting to a backup that had a feasible size seemed like sound logic in my head.
This happened again over the weekend (the third time) and my little trick did bring the character back, but not the world. Which is unfortunate because I'd much rather have the world and all my goodies back.
Are there known issues others have had with the Cloud Save? I've seen some other posts about people losing their characters and worlds, but nothing that was terribly recent. I would think the developers would be all over a fix for this since it's so devastating for players. I'd love to keep using that feature but there's no way I'm going to risk losing hours of work again.
