Game Mechanics Coyote Time jump mechanic

A lot of games, especially metroidvanias and other platformers, have a mechanic colloquially known as Coyote Time (named after the old Wile E. Coyote cartoons). It gives a teeny tiny amount of leeway when you're walking off a platform where you can still press jump, and it will work as normal rather than just letting you fall or activating your second jump. This is missing from Terraria and it's part of why platforming feels a little bit frustrating. I've been playing this game since it was first released way back in the day and the platforming always felt off to me, a little more frustrating with a little more accidental falls, and I was never sure why until I learned that this exists.

I know the team has their hands full with the great big Journey's End update, but it would be really nice if a proper Coyote Time mechanic was included if only to make the platforming a little more generous and smooth.
