Daybloom in clay pots not growing

The pots are underground, but that shouldn't make a difference surely?

Some are being placed walls, other aren't.
 
The Daybloom tends to fully grow only during the day so look at it during the day and not at night.

So pay close attention and also it takes a tons of time to grow herbs.

Edit: They can grow anywhere.

I put time on x24 AND slept on a bed and still nothing.
