Working as Designed Daybreak and solar eruption explosions don’t have a damage type.

Daybreak and Solar Eruption’s explosion projectiles (projectile ids 953 and 612) do not have a damage type assigned to them in the code and as a result cannot benefit from melee damage or critical strike chance bonuses reflected in the tooltip of the weapon. This is only the explosions and not the actual javelin/whipsword of either weapon.

This is intentional. Daybreak and Solar Eruption explosions are intended to inherit the damage of the projectiles that created them, which are already buffed by melee damage boosts. If these explosions were marked as melee as well, they would get an additional, multiplicative boost on top, as well the ability to crit. They are not marked as melee to avoid this. :)

Can't you guys just, make the explosions at in the very least be able to do crits, like the spear and whipsword of the weapons that create them?
