Do you remember your first Terraria World?

Oh yeah I remember my first world? It was actually named "The first world" and everything is very disorganized and there was just this gigantic pile of houses that branch into two with numerous materials. It was classic mode so beating stuff was way easier than I thought but the corruption spread left me scared for my life. It was pre 1.4 btw

My first world was on mobile, named "1", and it was kinda nicely made... I made the world small and I started it before the 1.3 update so it wasn't JUST small, it was actually... ...very nostalgic. I remember
SEEING THAT HEART SHRINE WHICH IS THE BEST STRUCTURE IN-GAME
I also remember having this little living tree which splits the jungle from the corruption... I also didn't like it when I entered hardmode, I liked it better when I was in pre-hardmode because it felt more "completed" after I got to some point.
My god, do I miss my old world... ;(

I cant actually remember my EXACT first world (i have a terrible memory sometimes) but all i know that it was on mobile and since this was around 2014, obvilously this was back when the mobile equivalent was 1.1, so i guess i WAS around for old, hard Terraria after all. I still remember these, tho (not really in order):
* Making a character LITERALLY called "BajanCanadian" (an old Minecraft youtuber i used to watch back then) and then making a tower of empty shoebox houses despite obvilously having only 100 HP and no money in my inventory
* One day in a world i had, i was running through the Ice biome during a rainy day and i got a notification saying that the Merchant NPC had arrived, the very first time i got an NPC to move in. I was so goddamn proud
* One world i made, i had around 200 HP and a full set of iron armor (and probably tools). One day i got a goblin invasian, and in the invasion the Guide got killed. I actually wept. Sure, i was a little kid (and by little i mean i was like 5 or something, but now im a teenager), but really? Also, the dye trader moved into his place (i think)
* So one day, i made a character, made a new world, i spawned in, it was night. I still have no idea how this even happened
* The very first boss i beat was Skeletron. Mother. :red:ing. Skeletron. I had like 160 HP or something and i had failed countless times to beat him before. But i think i won the battle because i made an arena around the dungeon (i had learnt that from probably one of the first Terraria youtubers i watched, Yrimir), fought him with melee weapons and probably silver tools (i cant remember), and i WON.
All of this was on mobile, btw. I eventually got the PC version in April of 2017. On the same year, but in Janurary, i made one singular review on the game, that read "please tell me how to get the game launcher" in my native language (Kazakh)

That's all i remember

I still have it. Including screenshots going back all the way to July 2011. Unfortunately back then I remodeled my base a few times so the way it looked for the majority of my playthrough was kind of lost to time. It eventually became a big hallway with a bunch of chests in it connected to the original house without much rhyme or reason to it. When 1.1 came out I took my character to another world to do hardmode and decided to return with hardmode resources to rebuild my base which is a project I stopped doing partway through, but that is basically the map as it exists today. Here it is.

Yep. My herb "garden" was pretty much an entire screen, most of which were daybloom, and I built massive tree farms into the sky, and one screen over, grass farms where I could harvest hay and mushrooms. I had what I would eventually learn was called a "skybridge" made of snow so it would spawn shiverthorn that I collected semi-religiously.

I don't remember the specifics of how I got them, but I had like 3 demonite ore, and when a crash somehow deleted them, I rage-quit for a couple weeks, thinking the game's crash had cost me an incredibly rare and precious resource that maybe someday I would have a use for.

Then when I figured out how meteorites work, I built a 30-ish thick layer of hay all the way across a large(?) world so that it would destroy only renewable blocks, and before long, I ended up with several chests full of meteorite.

Soon, I was on a mission to destroy every altar on the map. You probably know how this turns out.

I still have mine. I never entered Hardmode on it.

My original world was called Lalalala and it was made in january 2016, it was an absolute pain but I managed to get it off my old ipad so I don't have to worry about losing it. There wasn't any good builds since I was mostly busy exploring the game's content, but it's still funny seeing my weird attempts at building arenas. Also this world just isn't the same without my pet worm following me through it :sigh:

I spawned in around where the wizard is standing in this screenshot. The hole in the middle was originally wider and open on the top, and I fell into it while running from the guide since I thought he was an enemy. There were some pots in it that gave me some rope that I used to escape it which you can still see the remnants of.

After exploring the surface for a bit, it started to become nighttime so I made my first "house" by placing some stone pillars. Unfortunately I severely underestimated how high zombies could jump and I spent the night struggling to take back my house with an iron shortsword. After the night was over I upgraded it with higher walls plus a roof and it stayed the same ever since.

Here's my awful hotel, the third floor got obliterated after a holy hand grenade incident and I never bothered to fully repair it

An offshoot base since the spawn town was getting too cluttered. And yeah, I used to really love spamming rope

Another offshoot base, this one didn't get completed since I was nearly ready to start a new world. I was gonna build a shrine for my spectral armor at the top since it carried me hard through the last parts of the playthrough

Weird glitched sky island

No idea what this was meant to be

Somehow I beat the mech bosses with this "arena"

I have no idea how this was supposed to work but apparently this was made for killing ocram??

Last image, I tried using a cannon to make a golem farm :D. Luckily after finishing my first world world I started watching HappyDays and my arenas became significantly more effective

I do remember parts of my first world. It didn't last very long, but I had a house at spawn that was two towers connected by an accessway overhead with glass walls used as fences. Then I ran into the world border after walking for like a minute because it was a small world, and realized that I needed a bigger world.

The spawn would make a great section 8 listing.

I don't remember the world, but I remember getting stuck on the twins for months! I was young and naïve and I didn't upgrade all my weapons etc. Managed to do it all after a few months break and finished it off.

I tried using rope to catch meteorite. A layer of hay to walk on, then hang ropes below it roughly 30 blocks. No, I don't remember how it turned out. To this day, I don't know if the ropes become meteorite or not. But I did use ropes to mine out landfall meteorites. Later figured out there were much better ways, but, hey...

I had a small corruption world, and my trash PC could only run Terraria at 30 fps but I didn't know about frame skip so everything just ran half as fast and I just thought it was normal
I still have the world, and I even went back to it in 1.4.4 to get the "and good riddance" achievement (After creating a new world for a terraformer because I didn't know about the bottomless shimmer bucket recipe)

I remember mine… about 2 or 3 years ago… We might still have it. I remember seeing Crimson and thinking “I read about this on the wiki. This is the corruption!” Then I later found out it wasn’t, but I now thought it was a blood moon.

WiiU, I played with my cousin. We all built different bases, I had a castle in the center of the map, my cousin built a pumpkin-themed bunker, and my cousin's friend had a bunch of connected sky islands (they didn't look good at all in retrospect). We managed to fight everything up to Ocram except for Duke Fishron, because we didn't know it existed. When I was looking through my closet, I found the WiiU, and it still worked. Sadly, my cousin's was broken, so I invited him over and we managed to beat it, sealing the world as completed. I still have the console, it's sitting right next to me on my desk, so whenever I feel like playing the world again, I have access to it! Also, screw the old armors, their crafting recipes were absurd (I still got them, but...).

Bonus: We were around 8 and 7, and we both remember getting my dad's help to beat the Wall of Flesh. He looked disturbed, to say the least.

I remember both my first and second/old main world. Both were mobile 1.2 era worlds (i.e. "Tiny" world size) and I played them in only those versions.
My (supposedly) first world had me spawned in between two of those overground cave-like plateau things, in the middle of a small sandy pit. I don't remember much of it, but I know it had a blue dungeon on the right side of the world and I remember getting DG'd the very first time when I entered it, I remember I was sick and was eating crackers at the time, I was so shocked and my mom was me at that time and I just said "oh I just got killed by a giant flying spinning skull" and I remember she scolded me for "playing violent games" lmao
My second world I remember so much I could probably remake most of the surface of it if I put my mind to it. Spawn was a fairly flat area that I don't remember much of, but I made a small house shaped like a tree and a corridor filled with banners underneath, alongside other houses nearby, such as my first house that had a chinese lantern and was pretty compact. I'll start with the left of spawn, a steep cliff dropping to a lowland area (I had a lot of storage crap and a cave around there), leading into another one of those cave plateaus, steep upwards (once made an artificial crimson there), then leading into a tiny desert with a pyramid and then the corruption with a single chasm pit. After that, a bit of terrain, and a non-hollow giant tree that I used as an arena for mech bosses and so much more. After that, a few more terrain thingd, and a pink dungeon with a fairly simple and open layout, then the ocean. I remember trying to dig my first hellevator near spawn but getting stuck because of water so I gave up at the time but continued on later. To the right of spawn, another cliff, natural but artificially excavated, leading to another one of those cave plateau things, leading to a lowland/dip that had one of the first caves I ever dug and I remember it having the cool stalagmite background and a lot of gems. Above the plateau was supposedly the only floating island in that world. To the right of that, a decent bit of terrain then a small jungle which had a single tunnel that lead all the way to the lizard temple and had enough space to be an impromptu Plantera arena. I remember making a mini snow biome above or next to the jungle with a small igloo and being so scared when an ice golem spawned. After that, I don't remember much of the remaining right side of the world but I think the jungle just ended and went right into the ocean.
The reason I remember my second world so wrll is because it was my main world on my old iPad and I had formed so many memories in it, from my first house, the banner corridor, my first fall into the chasm (and me discovering fall damage), to killing WoF on my first try, to my mech boss fights in the living tree, to finally killing Plantera after so so many tries, to getting the Terra Blade, to killing Ocram, and so on and so on. One of the most memorable things was my first guide, which was named Dylan, and I remember being so sad when spawning WoF killed him. To this day, I don't think I've gotten a Dylan guide yet, strangely, and yes, that one guide single-handedly made me respect the name Dylan so much, lol
Unfortunately, when I transferred my files from my old iPad to the new one (summer of 2017) the world files didn't transfer, only the characters did. So unfortunately, I lost the world I held closest to my heart (and many others), and I remember crying so much about it (especially since chances of me getting it back right now are very low, with my old iPad not being used in 6 years and its battery being crap). This world also had the alpine mountain background (this was wayyy before Zoologist's throwing globes were a thing), so my main world on the new iPad was named "Mountain" as a tribute, and thankfully it generated with the mountain background, the terrain itself was pretty cool and there were a bunch of the mobile-exclusive structures (including a Heart Shrine inside a lone corruption chasm which made it look like a sword stabbing through a heart, and a Jungle Sanctum next to a beehive), and this world thankfully still stayed with me to this day. I wish my old main world would return, but still, this current main world is very good albeit it has way too much corruption and hallow to be feasibly clentaminator'd and I also regret DCU-ing out most of my underground snow biome to make a RoD farm and an artificial underground crimson that were eventually made useless.
Anyways, I hope y'all didn't suffer with reading through this extremely long wall of text and my trip through my own memory lane. Nostalgia is awesome.

Wait that's illegal

I don't recall my first world. I'm sure it existed way back in May of 2011. The oldest world that I have still is from August 2011. I believe it was the first world that I created solely for multiplayer. Although, it ultimately became a single player world; there are still noticeable pieces of multiplayer past in it.

A chest that is glitched, half gold/half brown. Storage chests with stackable items at 99, when they can clearly go beyond that. The world is not in hard-mode, has a basic brick build for all NPCs at the time and most of the map is still unexplored. In all honesty, I want to keep it that way. A memory of the past that I can go back to and reminisce of simpler times.
