Oi. Fizz here. Here's a nice little aesthetic change tuned slight practicality.

Ever noticed how the spreading biomes turn silt into sand? Sand? So all corrupting silt does is remove particles of clay? Nah. I want things really unique to the biome, not throwing in something old. My Solution?

This is a great idea. But why are they all grappling hooks? Some weapons and stuff would be nice to include in the unique loot drops. Other than that slight issue I love this idea.
The biomes mentioned already have either a loot table filled with weapons, and or an item tier, filled with weapons. The Hallow may not have a loot table, but it sort of has an extensive loot table using souls. They don't really need any more weapons. Especially not from the extractinator.
 
Hmm, what about Dark Matter for the Corruption alternate? Maybe make it much harder to see than the current sprite too(given in real life we can't even detect the stuff).
 
Hmm, you two got me thinking, what about "Sewage" instead? It's dark, rotten, and nasty, and certainly won't stay in one place. Slurry might work better for the first one too.
 
Yes, cuz sand can be corrupted. Derp. Actually i never knew it turned silt into sand... Ok, yeah since this makes sense i can support it.
It turns silt into sand on the generation of the initial x or v of hallow/ corruption. After that, silt’s immune.

I also remember there being a thread about using corrupted silt for hardmode extracting.
