Destroyer is definitely one of the easiest bosses to fight in my opinion, make a medium sized box and set up a heart statue or two (If you have them, not really necessary to be honest)move from left to right respectively depending on where and when it comes at you from the ground and attack along it's segmented side with a melee or bouncing/penetrating magic weapon. 
The box keeps the lasers from the little balls from hitting you as much and keeps other mobs interference to none at all. Hope this helps :3
