And trees deserve to grow large, if you please.
When a world is created, the trees are quite big,
but soon after this the player will dig;
they'll cut down each tree, one by one, real quick,
and soon there will be nothing left for the player to pick.
Acorns are for helping the trees grow back,
but when they return, height, they lack;
the solution to this is clearly essential,
when acorns grow trees, they can reach max potential!
This integer change, I think you'll agree,
will improve the appearance of our parks massively;
So thank you for reading, and I bid you goodbye,
perhaps leave a like, or even reply.

I've never noticed trees being smaller when I plant the acorns, but I'm assuming what you're getting at is that trees should be able to grow more after they've popped up from the sapling. If so, I fully support.

Well, that's a creative way of making this post. I thought this was about that Thorium dev set.

but trees grown with acorns tend to be stubby and small.

"...often in clusters with similar height." - Terraria Wiki
So if you leave one tall tree and plant acorns around it should make the trees grow taller, or if your first tree comes up small all the ones around it will also be small (most likely).

But if you are planting acorns all over your world, you will soon have far too much wood anyway, so bigger trees just makes it so you have an overabundance of wood!

I considered continuing my couplets of rhyme;"...often in clusters with similar height." - Terraria Wiki

but it would largely be a waste of time.
I would much prefer being able to simply grow nice, bushy trees myself rather than attempt to systematically save a few trees in a specific place where I plan to naturalize.
I was thinking of decoration purposes, rather than resource gathering.But if you are planting acorns all over your world, you will soon have far too much wood anyway, so bigger trees just makes it so you have an overabundance of wood!

I'd love to have larger trees with bigger branches for decoration, so either way I support (again)

For your suggestion, I agree;
That acorn trees tend to be tiny and wee.
In addition to looking good;
Larger trees improve your yield of wood.
You have my support for your suggestion;
I hope the developers consider for inclusion.

"To your suggestion, I give support;It was the closest I could get after 15 minutes of searching for synonyms.(Any excuse to avoid doing real work is a good one.)
with hope that the devs will not retort."
It's all about rearranging clauses.

Support! The tall forests you get upon world generation can never be restored. Which can be solved by not cutting them down in the first place, but sometimes you have to terraform or you want to create a new forest. It would be nice if you could in some way control the height of the trees you get, but 'cut it down and replant it if you don't like it' is always a solution. This just increases the cap, as it were.
And for this suggestion pertaining to trees -
Your couplets I approve of quite massively.
I'll second the Lorax and speak for the trees -
These titans of earth grow as tall as they please.
At least, that's the case when they spawn at the start.
Soaring sky-branches leafy works of art.
A chop and a chop, and giants are felled,
One by one they go to make homes in the veld.
To platforms and walls is this old wood hewn:
To replace their presence, their acorns are strewn.
But where grand old oaks once stood proud and tall...
You'll find what emerges is bizarrely small.
The ones that come after, I must give some flack -
Foliage they bear, but in height they lack.
They try and they try but they never manage
To tower above from vener'd vantage.
Stature of their cousins they never quite reach,
So to Redigit I must kneel and beseech:
Please let planted trees grow and reach for the stars...
A few blocks here and there can go oh-so far.

This has been getting on my nerves for a while now, so having someone suggest a fix while also doing it in a stylish way earns my support.

The desire of this request definitely rings true,
after your first pass, short trees number more than a few
Letting them grow into their original spires
would reignite my forester desires.
keeping the maximum potential from a worlds initial spawn,
would be a reason for many to fawn.
Let it not be said that efforts are in vain,
for this topics desire to rhyme does not wane.
and though it may be of been a gimmick to catch the eye,
the passion in his words were no lie.
