Mobile Ice biome block requirements

I was about to do fishing in my artifical ice biome, when I realized the background isn't ice. Then I checked the ice biome and snow biome on wiki, and found "Biome now required 1500 blocks instead of 300". Does that apply to ice biome as well?

if you were paying attention to what it was saying it was saying, biome now uses 1500 instead of 300 blocks for the ice biome, i noticed it from looking at all the things snow biom related around it so yes... and sorry if that sounded rude near the first part.

desert biome, for whatever reason, requires 1000, and ONE blocks that could count as desert biome blocks, and that's pre 1.4
