PC Is there a way to stop the sun?

Specifically during character creation, is there a way to stop the sun from rotating towards night and back to day? It really messes with my eyes when trying to pick a color scheme and I always end up making my character yellow even though I could have sworn I made him peach-colored.

... Also, I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum. ^^;

You can click on the sun to drag it, but then you wouldn't be able to select the color.

I also had this problem, but I don't think it was the sun. My solution was to leave all the settings for my skin color at the defaults, and then brighten it a tiny bit. It might not feel like it would look good, but it does once your in game.
