I think that the sprites are good, but I think the color palette is a little bit off.

<-that is the glowing mushroom, and your weapons are a bit of a deeper blue.

also I think sprites usually have a darker border.

A spriting app - it's hard to get accurate colors on it, but not impossible.

The weapons could have a similar texture design thing to the Mushroom spear and Hammush
(Those edited versions of the weapon sprites do actually look like the spear and hammer)
