PC Music won't work

so when i open terraria every thing works normally except music. sound work fine, as does ambient but music does not. i tried uninstalling and re installing but that did nothing to help.

Have you checked the music slider ingame?

yes, music slider works fine. but that does not change anything. still cannot hear music
