Mobile No Underground Corruption or Shadow Orbs

Hey everyone. I just got Terraria on mobile and went to the corruption. When I got there, the chasms all ended and didn't lead to anywhere like in PC and Console. I tried another world and the same thing happened. Is this a bug or is it part of the game? Thanks in advance.

Mobile has a habit of closing off chasms high up, if you dig down some you should be able to get to the rest of the Corruption, for some reason it gets closed up to the rest, giving the false impression of a small chasm.
