Yes, there are a couple of ways you can do this. The first is to use a dart trap and aim it at a teal pressure pad, and link your trigger to the dart trap and your device to the pressure pad. The second is to use any logic gate with one logic lamp on top, and link your trigger to the lamp and your device to the gate. Either of these will prevent backfire.

@ppowersteef wires are two-way (like sender can receive and receiver can send, in a sense that it does send signals on separate sequence)
Like @CellarDoor96 mentioned, you can use a Dart Trap and Teal Pressure Pad combo for this, which also allows you to make it partially wireless.
Another way is to make a diode (which also allows you to change wire colors whenever needed, and all you need to have is an ON logic lamp, a Faulty logic lamp, and an AND gate.
