NPCs & Enemies Retinazer attack idea (buff)

I have a little idea about the retinazer, give it the ability to shoot missiles in phase 2 when the spazmatism dies because retinazer's attacks in phase 2 doesn't go through solid blocks and can easily be countered by boxing yourself in. The missiles should also behave like the skulls Skeletron shoots in expert+ difficulties.
 
This is a very good idea, Retinazer definitely needs a buff cause is really weak
 
But how come spazmitizm always die first, his second phase in every mode works the same, maybe buff the twins attacks in general?
Retinazer should have a triple fire and spazmitism should have a 360 charge pattern

this will effectively make retinazer 100% more threatening because you can't tank it anymore

Spazmatism only dies first if you try to defeat him first. Also Spazmatism doesn't need any kind of buff.

this will effectively make retinazer 100% more threatening because you can't tank it anymore
But that doesn't solve the problem of hiding in a box to cheese Retinazer's second phase.

The point of this isn't JUST to make Retinazer harder, but to also make Retinazer more interesting.
 
piercing lasers aren't an issue, Unless its moon lord
 
Honestly, it's spazmatism that needs a buff. His first phase is hilariously easy because of how tiny his dashes are and how slow his fireballs move, and his second phase is also hilariously easy because his charges are nothing special at that point in the game and the flamethrower basically locks him in place and is instantly countered by just... moving away. Retinazer at least requires a brain to dodge.
 
This would be good as an Expert.... or even Master attack if it wasn't just a stat boost mode.
 
Like I said, maybe they add a circular charge attack for spaz like they did with true eye of cuthulu, maybe speed up the fire breath attack

Dodging Retinazer can be as easy as just running at the same speed away from the boss.
 
A idea: How about making that you can't only kill one of them anymore? After one has been bought down to zero, it just goes invincable until the other one has been defeated (ft. Fargo's Mod)

Not everyone likes just kiting bosses, some of us like to actually fight them as intended.

I don't kite any bosses. What I meant was just moving in one direction until Retinazer changes angles.
 
The issue with this is that it’s more to worry about with Retinazer. I wouldn’t call him hard, but it does make you be precise with your movement to not get shot, and extra missiles thrown in would throw this off and make second phase Retinazer a :red: to fight. You’d rebound into the missiles when you turn around to dodge the lasers and you’d have to both micromanage the lasers constantly changing angles and fire rate and dodging homing missiles.

Yeah, probably the best solution. And since its the same projectile it would also fix hiding in boxes from the destroyer.
