PC Terraria Folder

So.. long story short, I'd like to know where the Terraria Folder(the one with worlds, and player profiles) belongs. Reason for this is, randomly, said folder is on my DESKTOP instead of wherever it belongs. Normally I wouldn't mind this, but... When I go to Singleplayer > Choose Character, my character isn't there. So, I'd like to know where to put the Terraria folder back to in order to fix this.

Yes. That's the folder that has no player saves/player world saves. I tried moving the saves from my Desktop folder to the one in Documents -> My Games, but when I hit Singleplayer In-game, the game just crashes.
 
Ok- I fixed it. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it after putting the contents of the Desktop folder into the Documents -> My Games folder, and that seemed to fix it.
