Saves vanished when folders moved - Laptop Windows 11

Quarantine

Terrarian
I'm playing on a windows 11 laptop, I have the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 laptop GPUs. I have 16GB of ram.

I did some organizing of my files recently, and about a week passed afterward until I decided to load up Terraria. I then saw that all of my characters and world saves had been erased. I was trying to remember if the game had crashed, my computer crashed, or something of the like, but I couldn't think of anything. Until I remembered the rummaging I did in my files.

I went to where I moved some game files and found where I put Terraria, and I can see all of my save files are still intact (thankfully!).

I don't really understand how files for a game works, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm asking where I need to put this file so Terraria has proper access to it, because I must have removed that access by putting it somewhere it wasn't supposed to be. I can't remember where it was before I put it in my 'games' folder, so if anyone knows where I need to ploink it, I would really appreciate it.

I feel pretty dumb for having gotten myself into this mess, but I'm hoping it's a simple fix. I'm a neat freak when it comes to my files/photos and it looks like it bit me in the :red:. I have some memory issues so it makes any software issues I have so much easier when everything is where I expect it to be.

i'm not acquainted with windows 11 (i still run windows 10), but i'm pretty sure you have your saves and the such in the wrong place

on windows 10 atleast, the correct folder path is "this pc/documents/my games/terraria". have you checked if for honor and soma detect the save data in them correctly?

The My Games folder should go in your Documents folder. You can simply move it there, and if Windows says the folder already exists (which it probably does) you can simply tell it to merge the folders, and then your saves should be back where they belong.
