Usually the eshop updates at noon EST which means 9 PST unless it is first party retail so I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

Nothing, they're going to be the exact same, the download version is just coming earlier, since the cartridges need to be shipped out and such.

I can see it being there, only question i have is, will this version have easter and thanksgiving events? If so i'll jump for joy. Never really did the 2 events so.
