Terraria 2 will not be a thing. That news is very outdated. Plus, I find it would be very difficult to pull off a sequel to a sandbox game.

Plus, I find it would be very difficult to pull off a sequel to a sandbox game.

For a possible Terraria 2 there could be new classes, new biomes, more lore, and more stuff in general. The game's engine is currently at its limits, so adding some things would require an entire new engine.
