This is Terraria Lore.

Spoiler: The Corruption & The Wyverns

The Corruption used to be a happy, beautiful place that house friendly Wyverns that you could ride on all over the land. But when Paladin of Crimson passed through and threatened the Wyverns, the Corruption was bloody and gorey. After the war, the blood of the Wyverns stained the ground, the trees, the grass, the stone, everything. Then Paladin of Crimson brought in some of his minions to take over the Corruption (Crimera, Face Monsters, Crimslime). There he renamed and turned into the Eater of Souls, Dark Mummies and Corrupt Slimes. Also, after the war, the surviving Wyverns turned bad, scaly and a rusty color with the eyes of snakes. These Wyverns were Arch Wyverns. They took over the Floating Island and when they see a human, they think it's Paladin of Crimson in disguise. That is how the Corruption and the Wyverns came to be.

This is actually a pretty decent start to this literature project. I also like the fact that you made this based around some famous mods for Terraria.
