I like the concept of branching upgrades.
In fact, it inspired me to do something neat.
No worries, I won't copy the swords.
I must say though, those swords looks super cool!

I just created this on piskel.com and I call it the Yin Yang Dagger.

Alright here's my advice:
-Never use pure black/white
-All of it is unshaded
-Outlines should be a dark color but not completely black
-Blade is double outlined especially near tip on green side

I worked on the shading a bit yesterday but what do u mean by double outline?
