Every time I switch back from Terraria Undeluxe Beta, it has to download 500 megabytes of data. Is this supposed to happen, or is it a bug? I put the version I was on as 1.4.4.9, because I'm assuming that Undeluxe is a beta of that version.

Yes, this is intended; each time you switch it redownloads that version of the game. AFAIK this is a steam thing and outside of the developers' control.

Does it also removes/Replace the Beta Terraria when you switch back to the normal Terraria? Just to make sure switching between doesn't slowly add up space overtime.

Yes, it works that way whichever way around you're switching - I believe that this goes for all betas for all games on steam. Your worlds and players will be unaffected though :)

Several early access games on Steam work the same way - Satisfactory comes to mind (although now they are pretty close to a 1.0 release now)

They have their 'release' branch, which is what they feel is generally working and stable. Then they have their 'experimental' branch which is the newer stuff they are working on, that might have some broken things and be less stable. The player can decide which version they want to play on, and you choose that from the same Betas dialog. It basically just swaps the versions in and out, and you get a downloaded update each time you switch.
