I could definitely see this spiralling and taking out more people, but it's also looking like things are calming down.

I'm just surprised at th scale of this reaction.

I'd even be willing to propose a compromise of just restricting what parts of the forums they can be in.

Like, the off topic community is probably the main group that cares about him, so maybe just limit him to those sections and ban him from the rest if that's what needs to happen.

The banning, suspending or in any way restricting what members can and can not do is up to the forum staff; it's not something we are going to compromise on for the sake of relations between forum members. We do not take permanently banning members lightly, and it's not a decision we go back on due to popular demand.

To everyone in this thread: if you want to lament the loss of your friend then by all means do so, but kindly stop the calls to "bring back" banned members, whether as a joke or not. If members want to appeal their ban, they will have to do so themselves.

Man I feel pretty bad for the people that were close to tibithia. It’s one of the worst feelings losing a close friend.

it could happen again if nothing ends up changing
personally i would have preferred if they just suspended This Is Many
but considering the sheer amount of times the staff has told tibithia off for acting inappropriately
i can understand the decision they made
