~My suggestion: Volcanic Biome~
Sometimes it would erupt and it would be sort of like an event, and when it does erupt, lava would fall from the sky along with chunks of rocks. If the player got hit by them, they would take twice the damage of their defense (EX: defense = 3, damage = 6)
I think there should be a chest somewhere in the volcanoes (like the bottom) and it would have a pre-hardmode fire weapon that can burn enemies, the chest should also have some coins, and healing potions.
The volcano would look similar to the desert pyramids, it goes deep underground, and it also goes high above ground.
It should have a maze-ish interior with lava on the floors, so you will need a grappling hook to grapple on the ceiling, or the lava will burn you. An alternative to the grappling hook could be the lava waders, or lava charm.
The biome would be a mix of soot and ash, and the volcano is made from a block that burns you when you walk on it, like Hellstone and meteorite.
