I'm gonna make a new character called xXN00BzREKXx and a new world called "Lands of 1.3" and fully play through the game.
After i 100% complete that character with all the 1.3 stuff i can get i'm gonna transfer everything onto my main character (Nixuv) and then use him in an expert mode world... cuz i suck D:

Avoiding the obvious "Cut down a tree!" answer: probably build a wooden / copper broadsword and some torches and then immediately establish whether I'm on crimson or corruption. AFter that, start spelunking for those new items they added to wooden chests.
