Good luck, don’t give up. It may take a couple (or a couple dozen) tries, but it’ll be worth it.I am at the moonlord in not-journey, legendary mode get fixed boi no exploit/cheat world
After 180 hours... I am almost out of my missery![]()
You’re in the grind now. Keep collecting those treasure bags! Good luck.I am currently trying to collect all the developer vanity sets. I've killed Golem a grand total of 164 times so far and I've only got about half of the sets
I'm doing pretty good! I got him to 37k on the 4th or 5th attempt so it's looking goodGood luck, don’t give up. It may take a couple (or a couple dozen) tries, but it’ll be worth it.![]()

I personally would've gone with honeycomb necklace for queen bee, I love the movement buff. Also would've gone with vortex beater due to high velocity bullets (I can aim, I don't use Chlorophyte).I (somewhat) recently finished a pretty cool challenge run and decided I might as well share it here. I played this in Master Mode and it took a bit over 22 hours to complete.
The challenge is simple - Every boss I kill, I get to add exactly one item to my loadout. This item can be a weapon, armour piece, accessory, grappling hook, or mount. I also added an additional stipulation that the item that I get must not come later in progression than the boss (to prevent e.g. delaying pre-hardmode bosses until hardmode and stocking up on better stuff). The challenge was inspired by MrJFL (who's doing a similar run in the calamity mod but he's got more strict rules which includes buff potions and permanent upgrades like life crystals in the list of items, though calamity having more bosses than vanilla offsets this a bit).
This is the items I decided to get as my reward from each boss, in order (I decided to play drunk seed so that I could do both evil bosses in pre-hardmode):
King Slime (killed with lava) - Boomstick (imo the best pre-boss weapon)
Eye of Cthulhu - Bundle of Horseshoe Balloons (main mobility item)
Eater of Worlds - Worm Scarf
Brain of Cthulhu - Brain of Confusion
Queen Bee - Stinger Necklace (not a great pick but it's not like there's other options)
Deerclops - Molten Fury (needed a better weapon for wall of flesh and early hardmode)
Skeletron - Golf Cart Keys (combined with bundle and featherfall potion, this offers insane mobility for the rest of the run)
Wall of Flesh - Dart Rifle (this thing surprised me by being even better than I thought it would be)
Queen Slime - Star Veil
The Destroyer - Hallowed Helmet (easily the best armour set under the rules of this challenge)
The Twins - Hallowed Plate Mail
Skeletron Prime - Hallowed Greaves
Plantera - Frozen Shield
Golem - Elf Melter (both Tsunami and Stake Launcher are also solid options for this stage of progression, and so would Snowman Cannon if I could actually kill an Ice Queen)
Duke Fishron - Celestial Shell
Empress of Light - Recon Scope (replaces Stinger Necklace)
Lunatic Cultist - Phantasm
There's definitely alternate sets of items you can beat this challenge with. While I didn't initially intend for this to be a ranged only run, that's what it ended up as lol. Overall I think this was a cool challenge that forces you to think outside the box, and it's definitely worth a try if you're up for it.
Here's what my final loadout looked like:
