    It sounds like what you're talking about is sickness sort of things to me, mainly because of the ailments part, but the first thing I thought of was depression, domestic abuse, etc, and if someone doesn't figure out about that problem they won't help with that problem.

    Everybody works in different ways. Some people like you are empowered by feeling like a failure and have determination to do better. Other people, this does NOT work on. They need encouragement from outside sources, they need to feel like they are improving.

    I wonder if there's a modernization mod out there for it though.... a lot of popular older games have them, might try to look into that too. I know they did that for Fallout 1&2 at least and a few other games like it. That or maybe I should just wait until Skyblivion...
