PC 1.3 Achievement Suggestions!

Bling bling cannon- use 100 platinum worth of ammo for the coin gun
Darrell's biggest fan- acquire The Axe from Plantera
Elevator going down...- Fall directly from the surface to the underworld in a single fall.
Destroyer of armies- defeat the goblin and pirate invasions solo and without dying
Destroyer of holidays- defeat the frostmoon and pumpkin moon solo and without dying
 
Hi Cenx,

Here's a few I am considering as first thoughts:

Slime Slayer: Kill a slime
Living Statue: Activate a statue
De-Meteorification: Remove a meteor biome
Full House: Create a home for every available NPC (perhaps excluding Santa)
Invincible: Defeat any boss without taking any damage
Getting High: Fly up high with wings for the first time
Bait of the Beast: Catch a truffle worm
Unlocking Treasure: Obtain a Key Mold from an enemy
Don't Hate, Clentaminate: Cleanse the world from Corruption, Crimson, Hallow
Pumpkin Master: Reach wave 15 of the Pumpkin Moon
Frost Master: Reach wave 20 of the Frost Moon
Master Baiter: Complete 50 Angler quests (XD)
Potions Master: Create one of each potion type available) -perfect much-needed Harry Potter reference!

This may sound a bit like Minecraft's systems for achievements, but I hope it helps regardless. :)
 
Times Past - Obtain a full set of ancient armour (cobalt or shadow)
Santa's Helper - Obtain the Rudolf Mount
Far From Home - Travel to the edge of a large world
 
Bosses
The giant blue. -> kill the King Slime.
I don't need another eye. -> kill the Eye of Cthulhu.
The Eater of Cakes -> kill the Eater of Worlds.
I'm still thinking... -> kill the Brain of Cthulhu.
Spooky, but not scary. -> kill the Skeletron.
Long live to the queen. -> kill the Queen Bee.
Fresh meat. -> kill the Wall of Flesh.
Spooky and scary! -> kill the Skeletron Prime with the health below 100.
My eyes are safe. -> kill The Twins with a sunglasses.
The Destroyer of lifes. -> kill The Destroyer with 3 or more npcs dead.
Don't play with a carnivorous plant, kids! ->destroy the Plantera bulb and kill her.
A pig or a fish? We'll never know... -> kill the Duke Fishron.
The ancient and evil tree. -> kill the Mourning Wood.
King of pumpkins. -> kill the Pumpking.
Colorful tree! -> kill the Everscream.
I don't want your presents! ->kill the Santa-NK1 without touching the present attack.
Bye, Elsa! -> kill the Ice Queen.

Thinking in the name...
Hardmode! -> enter the hardmode.
Avenge the omniscient. -> kill The Twins with a Twins army.
Melt! -> kill one Ice Golem with a flamethrower type gun.
I saw her standing there... -> find and kill the Nimph for the first time.
Yummy! -> make and eat a cooked marshmallow.
So shine! -> collect your first fallen star.
I don't need wings. -> craft a hoverboard.
My precious! -> buy one Diamond Ring from the Traveling Merchant.
Uh...call for help? -> kill one boss together with a friend.
Say hello to my little friend! -> kill one enemy with a minion.
Welcome to the archaeology! -> equip one Archaeologist's Hat.
Let's the party start! -> have the Party Girl in one house.
It's over 9000! -> kill 9001 slimes.
It's so cute!Oh, sorry... -> kill the Pinky.
It can fly! -> kill one flying fish.
One rainbow! -> after the rain, shoot one rainbow with the rainbow gun.
BOOM! -> die with a explosive trap.

This game is full of references and puns, so in my opinion, the achievements should reflect that. Granted, people could be a little bit more clever with their references and puns, but it's not something I think people should shy away from. It sure beats an achievement like "Kill the Eye of Cthulhu"... you know what that achievement is just by looking at, yes, but it's not fun or memorable. Darwins' Parachute, Apreture Science, and Irony were some of my favorite achievements because they were memorable.

You brought up some good points, and I hope that I could elaborate on them a little more.

With that I meant that you shouldn't make a reference or pun and then make up a task to come with it, which is what I've been seeing.
 
I would rather there be lots of achevements to make the game more interesting. the xbox terraria achevements suck. And things like, kill "this boss" with "this weapon". Or having serton acessorys and vanity gear on. Like "having all the turtle armer while having the turtle pet while riding a turtle at once." And have a catchy name like "The way of the Turtle."

This is just my opinion anyway. I would rather tonns of fun achevements over 20 unrealisticly hards ones. Maby have speedrun type ones like "beat the eye of chutulu in under 3 nights of world creation" or world only ones like. "Beat the WOF on an extra large world"
 
i got a few, hmmm lets see.....
1-Easy : Oh you trickster......: kill the nymph .
2-Hard : I HAVE THE POWER ! : make at least 1 of every end-game armor/ accessory .
3-Medium : wait what's left ? : kill every pre- hardmode boss in on one world .
4-Hard : The collector : collect at least one of every single item in the game .
5-Hard : The protector : finish the lunar event without a single npc dying .
and that's about it..... i can make more though .
 
Alright, I can't be bothered to go through 46 pages of posts, so these might have been suggested before.
  • That time of the month ─ Blood moon while you have every female NPC in the world (except for the Party Girl maybe, since she doesn't act differently during a BM)
  • Ash Bottom ─ Touch the bottom of the world
  • Burn 'em all! ─ Inflict On Fire, Cursed Inferno and Frostburn with a single attack (ex. with Frost Armor, Fire Gauntlet and Flask of Cursed Inferno)
  • I like trains ─ Run over an enemy with a Minecart
  • It doesn't look any different ─ Reforge an item and get the exact same modifier
  • "You hit it once with a hammer!?" ─ Reforge an item from a Tier -2 modifier (such as Broken) to a positive modifier
  • I love it! ─ Put on a Horse Mask (or Unicorn mask perhaps) so that it is shown
  • Death from above ─ Get killed by a Boulder, Spear trap or something similar
  • "Coverings"? ─ Equip Dryad Coverings
  • Do the Flop! ─ Die from fall damage
That's all I got so far.
 
Okay, so there are a lot of suggestions here and I'm not reading them all so there'll probably be repeats.

I think there should be a very large amount of achievements, to match the very large amount of time I tend to spend on this game.
I've seen a lot of people suggest an achievement for getting all the NPC's, I think there should be a separate achievement for each NPC, and another for getting all.
There should be an achievement for each boss killed (and thus a reason besides drops to kill King Slime)
There should be an achievement for unlocking hardmode. This could be paired with the Wall of Flesh achievement. There
There should be achievements for significant crafting feats, i.e. deathbringer pickaxe, night's edge, each of the true swords, ankh shield, bundle of balloons.
Perhaps there should be achievements for discovering the different biomes, as well as spider nests etc.
An achievement for finding the web slinger and enchanted sword would be cool, though perhaps to difficult.

These are by no means all the achievements that should be available.

Craft a Moon Shell
'The B #s'
Use 'The Axe' whilst a music box is playing
'Til death do us part'
Kill a boss when you're dead
'You may now eat the wife'
Kill 'The Groom'
'Hero of Camelot'
Slay a Hardmode boss with 'Excalibur'
'Miss Click'
Kill an NPC with explosives
'Tactical Retreat'
Die by drowning during a boss fight
'But what will I spend on shoes?!'
Find a 'Coin Gun'
'Pretty Pretty Princess'
Wear the full 'Princess' outfit (Either set)
'Pretty Deadly Princess'
Whilst wearing the 'Princess' outfit, kill a Hardmode boss
'I did all that and all I got was this lousy key?!'
Defeat the Dungeon Guardian

Defeat Duke Fishron after using the 'Pigron' mount during the fight

Get killed by a boss when it is on low HP (less than 50)

'Our Lord and Saviour, Cthulu'
Defeat the 'Eye of Cthulu' and 'Brain of Cthulu' in under 30 seconds each
'Early bird gets the worm...s'
Defeat the 'Eater of Worlds' in under 30 seconds, and 'The Destroyer' in under 1 minute
'All hands on deck'
Defeat 'Skeletron' in under 30 seconds, and 'Skeletron Prime' in under 1 minute
'Eye eye, captain!'
Defeat the 'Wall of Flesh' in under 30 seconds, and 'The Twins' in under 1 minute
'King of the Jungle, Tarzan'
Defeat 'Plantera' and the 'Golem' in under 1 minute each
'Bacon for Days'
Defeat 'Duke Fishron' in under 1 minute and 30 seconds
'The stars are aligning'
Defeat the lunar boss in under 2 minutes (These all can be adjusted, especially this one!)

That was a lot, hope some of them sound good! :happy:
