Other A way to create maps for the community

Terrarian
<3A way in which the player is given the possibility of building more comfortably and freely with the aim of creating maps for the community.pixeltree

Adding mechanics like:
-Teleport to different parts of the world.
-Cross blocks.
-A greater range of block placement.
-Give the property of being unbreakable to a block or object.
-Being able to remove blocks, walls and decorations with one click (like having an eraser in terraria) so you don't have to do it with a pick/hammer)
-Have all the blocks and decorations available (with an interface in which each decoration is clearly seen so as not to have to use the shovel in this mode)
-Give a special size to the world and make it editable at any time (there are maps that take up very little space in the world and there is a lot of free space. It would be good to be able to eliminate it and adjust the proportions of the map to the player's needs to take advantage of resources )
-Being able to change the music or being able to change it at a certain specific point on the map as if it were after going through a door, etc.
-Be able to eliminate certain bosses from the world.
-Be able to choose what enemies drop when they die and edit them as if they were chests. Be able to save the settings to use them later.
-Edit weapons as if it were reforging them.
-Equip armor to enemies.
-Edit enemy statistics such as life or defense and other more special ones such as speed and jump.
-Create waves of edited enemies etc.

⛏️Giving complete freedom and control to the player would unleash a wave of incredible maps and creations.:pinky:

Being able to upload and download maps in-game would also be welcome.

Most of this is already in the game.
  • Teleport around the world? Teleporters and Pylons.
  • "Cross blocks?" No idea what this means.
  • Greater block range placement? Hand of Creation/Toolbox/Journey Mode.
  • Make blocks/objects unbreakable? If you're making an adventure map, just don't give tools to the player.
  • Remove objects with one click? Most endgame building loadouts can effectively do this.
  • Have all blocks and decorations available? Journey Mode.
  • Custom world size? Ok, you got me, sort of. You could just make a Large world and trim it down, but unless you're using TEdit, that takes a long time. Although, to be fair, most maps are made in a Large world and just don't use the free space.
  • Change music whenever? Music boxes.
  • Eliminate certain bosses? If you defeat a boss, it won't spawn randomly anymore, which means that the player can only fight bosses they summon manually.
  • Upload and download worlds in-game? Terraria has had integrated Steam Workshop support for a while. Not exactly the same, but pretty darn close.
Everything about editing enemies and items is not in the game, but I also don't think we need it. Terraria is not that kind of game. You can edit entities in Minecraft, but not Terraria. If you want a stronger Zombie, use a Blood Zombie or a Possessed Armor. If you really want to make a custom Zombie, learn to make mods and code it in yourself. I know that's not a valid response to a suggestion, but in this specific instance I think you're asking too much.

On ðe subject of uploading worlds, you can also just compress your world's files into a .zip or .7z file to make it easier to distribute. Ðe Terraria wiki explains how to find your worlds on Windows and Android, and you can find ðem on Linux under /home/[user]/.local/share/Terraria/Worlds.
