This... this is evil!:merchantmad:

Why? Why?!:merchantcry:

This Revengeance DoG is ridiculous! It would seem you changed it to where the twin Devourers don't spawn at the same time but instead spawn when the first is at low life. That's not bad, I'll just finish off the first one then kill the second. But NOOOO! When the second one got to low health, it spawned ANOTHER one! Fine! Fine! I'll just get them both to low health that way they CAN'T spawn another! But no! Apparently there's a timer too! If you don't kill them both within about 20 or so seconds apart, they spawn YET A-NOTHER ONE! So cruel!:merchantcry:

At least I managed it eventually.:merchantsigh:

But seriously, if that's all intentional, you are an evil, evil guy! It's genius! Bullcrap and ridiculously hard, but genius!:merchantwink:

That..... was not my experience at all.

They both spawned at the same time for me and I did not need to kill them nearly at the same time.

I really hope you've simply experienced some weird bug.

Nope, there was an update about a day ago. I fought them today.:merchantwink:

EDIT

Hmm... I seemed to get a sort of error while fighting the Bumblebirb.

EDIT TO THE ABOVE EDIT

This actually seems to happen in the Jungle regardless. I was hunting for Life Fruit for my Dragonfruit but it crashed with the same error.

EDIT TO MY EDIT ABOUT THE ABOVE EDIT

Actually, it probably IS Bumblebirb's fault. Happened four times after trying to farm him.

YET ANOTHER EDIT

Also, minor complaint.

Why is the Magma Stone used twice in the Elemental Gauntlet recipe? First in Yharim's Insignia and again in the Fire Gauntlet.

As well as this, the Draedon's Forge doesn't count as a Hell-forge when smelting Hellstone bars, Cobalt bars, or Palladium bars.

Or an Anvil, apparently.

So, when I fought the Hive Mind with my Briny Baron everything was fine until after a short time the right-click projectiles stayed in place, but they still did damage. And when I tried hitting the Hive Mind with the sword itself only the bottom section of the typhoon appeared and did damage.

EDIT: I fought it again and everything was fine this time.

EDIT 2: Fought it once more and it happened again, maybe this time since I left the corruption.

I learned his patterns and stacked up on a ton of damage reduction accessories and Warding Modifiers so I could tank a few hits. I also had the Counter Scarf for in case he caught me at a bad end, meaning I could dash through one of the heads and evade the other. It's safer than relying on the Asgardian Aegis' dash, at least. For finishing off the two, I'd get one to around 50,000 health before backing off and beating the other down to the same health. Then its a case of killing the two as quickly as possible.

What weapons did you use?

What weapons did you use?

I was playing as a mage so I was using the SHCP on its alternate fire (right-click) due to it being quite rapid, strong, and non-piercing. Piercing weapons do less damage overall.

What should i use as a melee?
I'm not entirely certain.:merchantwhat:

Most likely whatever you're familiar with. If you're able to hit the head or tail with it with enough consistency, anything is good. Naturally I'd recommend that it's at least a fast weapon, so probably the Ark of the Elements or Omega Biome Blade. The former pierces and the latter doesn't but both home in on enemies, although I don't believe the Ark's sword projectile does, only the orbs that spawn with it.

EDIT

As a few extra tips, for the sake of giving them::merchantwink:

Be warned, these might spare you several painful deaths. You probably shouldn't read it if you like losing. It's also kind of cheating.

I'd first recommend you create a brand new world as the DoG loves zipping across the map and would most likely kill every NPC on the map because of that.

Secondly, you should flatten out the entire world. Or at least a third of it, typically around the center or where ever you'd like to fight the DoG. You'd then want to cover all the holes and such that you could possibly fall into and die because of.

Thirdly, you should bring whatever potions that you feel would be useful for this fight and think seriously on which ones you'd like to prioritize. Assuming you're using Xeroc armor, you'll be getting several of your buffs pushed off if you try to max them all out. Not to mention, the DoG likes putting several of his own debuffs on you.

Fourthly, you should make sure it is not raining. Acid Rain will most likely get you killed. Don't be the kind of guy who forgets to check the weather and plans a trip to the beach when it's about to rain. This only happens post-Moon Lord, so try to at least be aware of it.

Fifthly, use the Overlay map setting. This has a higher field of view and allows you to better keep track of where each of the DoG's are at. I'd also recommend you bring a Cosmolight and set the time to night. It's easier to see the map that way.

Sixthly, try not to use the Asgardian Aegis' double-tap feature. It slows you down and can be deadly. It's also possible to accidentally trigger it and end up getting yourself killed. As an inverse to that, try to max out your speed without forgoing defences. The Absorber is a good item to bring as it gives both. The Heart of the Elements is also another, although the Waifus won't be too useful against the DoG. Also, they take up quite a few buff slots, so think carefully about taking it. Statis' Ninja Belt is a good choice, however.

Seventhly, try not to laugh when the Guide gets butchered within the first three seconds of the boss fight. You'll probably be next. Also, prepare for a bit of lag.

Eightly, learn how the boss behaves. That includes how the head dips every now and again, when it likes to follow you, when it likes to zip off the map, etc. If the DoG does zip off the map, keep a good eye on where it vanished because it's probably going to zip right into your face in a second or two. This is most important when the second DoG has spawned.

Ninethly, don't panic when the second one spawns. It spawns at somewhere around 200,000 health, so expect it.

Tenthly, be ready to switch targets when the second DoG spawns. Be ready and be mobile. Don't let it get the first hit in, you pansy.

Eleventhly, knock the second DoG down to 50,000 health and then do the same to the first. This is important unless you'd like a THIRD DoG joining the party. Or a fourth. Or a fifth. Or a sixth. Kinda important. My earlier post about this wasn't a joke.$-_-

Twelfthly, kill the pair as quickly as possible. You have roughly 20 seconds to do so.

Thirteenthly, win.
Oh yeah, another thing. Bring Omega Health Potions. They heal 500 health instead of 300. Read the wiki about them, I wrote it.:merchantwink:
Or, err, at least some of it. :merchantsigh:

Idk tbh (btw what is with the pink mana? I know, I suck)
It's one of the three mana increasing things Calamity adds. I can't list them, but they're fairly endgame-ish.

Thanks, I'm a total newbie to the newest update (well, some of the stuff)

Now, i was fighting the DoG (revengance) and suddently while he was of screen but still in the full screen minimap is just despawned. He had gone further away during the fight so it can't be the distance. It just went up and despawned for no reason.

Is it possible to get the soundtrack (using music boxes) right now? Was encountering Cryogen to try to get it's 'cool' theme but i seem to struggle getting it. however that just might be because he kills me pretty fast. Amazing mod nonetheless!
