Idk if it's just be but the corruption and crimson mostly spawn over the jungle biome.

I noticed that too. Either that or spawning near the jungle. Makes protecting the damn thing difficult when hardmode hits.

It seems to me that Corruption and Crimson biomes are just significantly more common lately. I was making a bunch of worlds the other day (for epic building), and the vast majority of medium worlds had 3 corrupted zones, while large worlds had 3-4.
