(I meant more like, it looks like a skinny mantis with those snail-eyestalk-things in addition to its head) "Say, Goldhero! where should we go once we've made our stuff?"
while i ask that, I search to see if i can find a mantis and a slug, seperately, on the ground.
I've got a lot of stuff to get done, including art for the story post that I hope emerges soon. I hope it'll be done and the update will be started by Saturday night.
Be sure to adjust your posts or post again if you haven't already!

I haven't finished the art I needed to yesterday, but I did come pretty close. Man, my attention's split between getting this update done and getting the art done... I did promise progress today, though, so let's try to get as much as I can get done now. It won't be much, because of all the other factors in my head.
[Attack]
Mythic strikes a nearby gong with their sword, signalling a group of ghosts, mostly those of already slain Mooks, to attack the Well-Armored Shotgun Mooks. They politely bow and fade out after the attack.

I teleport Waluigi into a Smash Mook, and since Waluigi isn’t in Smash, madness ensues.
You apply Confused to the Rocketeer Mooks! Imagine if they lethally blow themselves up... Man, there are two effects named confused now! I knew I might have to limit freeform status effects...

The Acolyte isn't on the field yet, unfortunately. That's what this objective is for- you're finding out where he is, then you can damage his face (and sense of smell) all you want.

This environment might not be wet enough for a slug, and it might not be green enough for a mantis. Maybe you could make that the object of your search?

The Really Aggressive Bird happened last turn! Neverthless, you do damage the Smash Mook with the Warpmind Scepter- 2 damage, and the Smash Mook is Weakened for this turn!
Um, alright... but you really should be making your final items instead of making more miscellaneous and useless ones! That Impetus Counter's going to trigger something when it goes off...
You deal 2 damage to one of the Smash Mooks, destroying them! You also deal 4 damage to the other Smash Mook!
========[End-of-Turn Events]========
plague has been introduced back into the game! Once ender 2's back from hiatus, I'll ask him if he wants to return the Argynth Tooth Bracelet.
Ninjatwist_ unleashes a finishing blow on the Smash Mook for 6 lethal damage! The Smash Mook crumples to the floor, almost crushing Ninjatwist_, but he steps out of the way.
The Sand Golem tosses sand in the direction of a Well-Armored Shotgun Mook, dealing 4 damage and Blinding it!
Major Persecles goes after the Mook Lieutenant! He hits a bodyguard, dealing 8 damage! Said bodyguard is on 1 HP.
The Eevee trio deal 3 damage to 3 of the Hammer Mooks!
The Argynth Scouts continue hacking the terminal, adding +3 to hacking progress!
If you hack the Terminal, you can end this fight next turn before the Mooks deal more damage!
The Mooks make their move!
The Mook Lieutenant commands his unit to Stay In Cover, giving them a 25% dodge chance!
They spray from cover at Major Persecles, dealing 8 damage! Persecles is in trouble!
The Mook Lieutenant deals 3 damage to an Argynth Spear Carrier!
The Elite Mook Rocketeers fire upon Thanos, dealing 8 damage! Those who miss get to reroll, dealing 2 additional damage! Thanos takes 1 additional damage as splash.
The Well-Armored Shotgun Mooks that can shoot deal 5 damage to the Argynth Spear Carriers!
The Powered Pistol Mooks deal 12 damage to the Arbalests!
The Hammer Mooks fight the Spear Carriers and Eevee trio, dealing 4 damage to the Spear Carriers and 2 damage to each Eevee!
The two Snipers snipe Ninjatwist_ for 4 damage!
The Spear Carriers retaliate for the assault on Major Persecles, dealing 42 damage in total! Unfortunately, cover blocks all but three of their hits. Still, two Mooks are killed!
The Arbalests fire upon the Shotgun Mooks, unleashing a whole 14 shots for 56 damage! Their armor blocks all but 3 of the shots, creating 3 instances of 4 damage and 11 instances of 2 damage! That's still a lot, and all but two of the Shotgun Mooks are killed!
Thanos transmutes one of the Elite Rocketeers into crystal for 12 lethal damage!
Another Sniper arrives to replace a loss and takes aim.
The Elite Rocketeer Mook snaps out of confusion!
The Automatic Mooks will remain in cover until the Lieutenant's next action!
========[Sidequest Events]========
The Mining Turtle jams and stops working while the Impetus Countdown is active.
The Smeltery produces 3 last iron ingots!

15/15 Fragile Strength, USING!
I take my hammer and 2 iron. with a hundred hammer blows and some, I mold the iron into 9 tiny nails. with further motion and precision, the nine nails curve together, starting at the top of a circle, bending away from one another, and meeting again at the bottom. after giving this construct a moment to cool, I take my mantis-with-the-snail-curvy-eyestalk-things and smush him on the construct.
It makes sense in context i swear.
Fragile Strength created!
breaks on death (can then be repaired with merely 10C)
grants some form of buff to attacks passively, but is not a weapon. like, maybe +20% attack damage or Something.
If Goldhero's also done with stuff and wishes to leave, and posts, i leave.
It was a grueling process taking 3 nights and a lot of project-swapping, but I managed to do it anyhow! Change your posts accordingly- a strategic move could let you end this encounter right now!
To people in the sidequest (especially JOE), get going, or the Impetus Countdown will start deleting your items as penalty!

I step up to the terminal and brute force attack the backdoor and the botnet and then crack a bug in the crypto and chip-off attack with a DDoS on the Digital Certificate and use an evil maid attack on the encryption and then exploit the hashing and the https then jailbreak the keys then MitM the metadata with Malware then phish the password managers and RAT the plaintext and rainbow table the root then salt the rootkit then side channel attack the signature then use sniffing and spoofing and spyware and spearphishing on the Token then find vulns by using a virus on the VPN then finish off with a worm and zero day.
(I have successfully used hacking terms that i don’t know what they actually mean)
I raise the dagger up into the air. the glint of a single drop of blood hits my eye. I stab the dagger into the ground, causing the rock I stand on to rise into the air.
I then withdraw an arrow and a bow, and I aim at the Smash Mook that was hit by the dagger... and fire.
The arrow flies straight through the Smash Mook, and it spills an unnatural amount of blood! The blood is sent into the arrow, which then returns to me.
Mook Blood GET!

"So you came...? That's fine."

"Now, hit me. For real this time.
The Unforgiving Mech Suit is used by Xor to deter the weak and to challenge the strong.
Armored (passive) : THe mech suit has ample layers of armor. Attacks do 10% less damage.
Intimidating (passive) : Wouldn't you run if you were injured and a giant robot ran towards you? Less likely to be attacked by Mooks with less than 10 current HP.
Rocket Punch: Suddenly, HUGE FIST! Does moderate damage and stuns. Uses: IIIII
Wild Frenzy: Mech basically does the PBJ time dance at a Mook. Does moderate-high damage to a Mook and scares some others of that type. (if you don't have a scare yet, scare will be a 50% chance they can't attack.) Uses: III
Red Bomb: One of Xor's three bombs he keeps in the mech. This one is the strongest. Does moderate damage to two of the same type of Mook. Uses: IIII
Blue Bomb: One of Xor's three bombs he keeps in the mech. This one makes three explosions. Deals low damage to six different targets of three Mook types. Uses: IIII
White Bomb: Xor's favorite bomb. It has a tendency to blind targets. Does moderate-low damage to two of the same type of Mook. 33% chance to blind one, 16% chance to blindtwo. Uses: IIII

And the last becomes a Glaceon, by me slapping down a rock I put in the freezer and then giving them a rare candy.
