Blocks & Decoration Fake Altar (You TOO can have your very own room of evil!)

The Altars. There's no denying they're :red:ing cool. Sadly, the lack of being able to PUT them anywhere is... problematic. You might get lucky and find one in a perfect place, but often, you don't get lucky. These items can rectify that:

Fake Demon Altar

Ingredients:
20 Ebonstone Blocks
5 Worm Teeth

Uses: Counts as a table. Cannot be used to craft items.

Fake Crimson Altar

Ingredients:
20 Crimstone Blocks
5 Vertebrae

Uses: Counts as a table. Cannot be used to craft items.

So, thoughts?

I'm ok with this, as long as you can't place anything on them like you can on regular tables.

This sounds cool!

We need this! My flesh house isn't complete without the Crimson Altar! TOTAL SUPPORT!

I WANT THIS.

It'll complete my little Corruption-themed room.

I want this, I need it to complete my corruption vs crimson room.

This sounds awesome....

If you were to destroy these altars, would they still spawn ores and evil biomes?

What, of course, no.

I'm not the OP, but no.

@Nardia: No. God no. That's why they're called FAKE altars.

This is cool. Also, i think there should be altars that are craftable and work, but dont spawn ores when broken. But that should be saved for a different thread.

I'd like this, after all I am a building enthusiast. And what is the point of an evil castle without its equally evil altar of demonic shenanigans?

This would also be really funny to troll newbies with :P

This gives me the idea for a new suggestion!
Great idea by the way.

Or how about they're crafted with Souls of Night and maybe tier 3 HM ore and serve as an actual Demon/Crimson Altar in terms of crafting? So that you can finally have your very own Boss Summon Item Creation Device™ in your basement.
For clarification, breaking them would simply drop them or destroy them without generating ore.

That's a good idea for crafting requirements Nira.
