Same here and it carried me to Plantera and it was even still usable in the post-Plantera dungeon

I still don't like the pirate staff, mostly cuz pirate invasion gives me a mid life crisis at the age of 14

They’re easy to do in early hardmode if you were to build a lava trap while you’re underneath it with a sealed off teleporter system from the mechanic herself. The pirates will die from lava if they are all trapped within the little volcano contraption you built.
