Mobile Goldfish farming

I'm trying to farm goldfish and it's quite difficult as there is no goldfish statue on mobile. Ive been waiting until it rains and then running around with the net, and I've also tried running around the ocean bottom, but it feels like there is a better way. Any advice?

There actually is a goldfish statue on mobile, its just not craftable. You can find it somewhere underground.

I don't know the goldfish spawning mechanics, but you could stand in water in place and swing your net around repeatedly, and watch TV or something while you're waiting.
