Is Minecraft Steve or the Terraria Player stronger? I have the answer.

O__O this is new to me...there were really people out there back then who argued who was the strongest between Sailor Moon and Goku? oh gawd...

Yeah. Those who hadn't read the SM manga would say Goku, those who were just looking for an argument would say Moon. It's quite likely they would both die if they fought - and then be revived because screw permadeath.

Let's be honest, it's an exploit that will probably be fixed and doesn't fit into the standards of Minecraft play.
Actually, it was a feature added for adventure maps and stuff, Minecraft has a bunch of those... I still don't think it should count though, as its just as "magic" as ender-chests and piggy-banks, if not more.

Ah, fair enough, my latter point still holds though.

Let's say that Terraria had the same blocks as Minecraft...
Now , how much inventory slots does Steve have and how much does the Terraria player have?

well, no, Minecrat blocks are bigger than Terraria blocks. But the difference in stack size and inventory does make that difference obsolete.

Let's be honest, it's an exploit that will probably be fixed and doesn't fit into the standards of Minecraft play. Also, forget the masses of craftables as stating that all that mass get's transferred into the product is not confirm-able. If you look at the cold hard facts of item stacks, 64 cubic meters of dirt obviously ways less than 1998 cubic feet of dirt.

The ability to pick up blocks with NBT tags added to them isn't an exploit, it was a purposefully implemented feature of the vanilla game. No idea what you're talking about.

Steve has 36 inventory slots, stacks blocks to 64 and thus carries 2304 blocks, The Player can carry 40x999=39960 blocks.

Edit: Silly me. Terraria offers 50 slots, not 40. So that makes 49950 blocks.

Was already informed of this:

Like Mega said, it's still a 'magical' component and not a proper representation of physical prowess.

items in inventory are not always up to size you know, for example the breaker blade.

I still do not like it when people acknowledge Minecrafts existence (I really don't like it) although I guess it really is just an opinion.
Really.

I don't believe in a god, therefore other people shouldn't talk about religion. /sarcasm

Anyways, to the topic of the thread at hand: Not going into the numbers but I have to say Safes, Piggy Banks and EnderChests all don't count. If the items were LIMITED to the container they were placed in, then sure, count them, but considering they can be accessed from ANY PB/Safe/EC they appear to be in limbo or something.

Please don't respond to these types of messages. There's really no point in dragging back in off topic posts.

The player can go TO SPPPPAAAACCCEE with 49950 blocks,
And he can also quad jump WITH BALLOONS and also FLY,
(He even flys faster UNDERWATER EVEN AT THE DEEPEST LEVELS OF THE SEA)
Oh I also forgot armor which can add more weight
I don't know the heaviest terraria armor so idontknow

While Steve just runs and jumps with some golden apples, and golden armor

Flying with 49950 blocks or jumping and running with golden apples
try to guess how much strength each task needs
Pretty sure that should be considered.

Not golden apples.

Super massive chests full of chests, all the way down to the NBT depth limit, at which point they're full of extremely heavy banners.

Hmmm, some very interesting points here, however, nearly all games, including both of these, follow one rule of thumb...

Any and all things are weightless when stuffed in your pocket. With that said, Terrarians can defeat these huge monsters with huge weapons, but let's not forget Steve can kill massive monsters with pretty weak equipment(even all Diamond gear isn't so powerful) that CAN break, not to mention no health extensions!
Steve may still be stronger.
Oh, and Steve can swim up waterfalls.
Now I may have overdescribed Steve and barely described Terrarians.
Now, Terrarians rely on much more powerful equipment, but they also go up against much worse enemies! And Terrarians really can vary much more in strength, depending on what KIND of equipment they use.
I honestly think this concept has a ton of possible ways to look at it, so it's hard to say honestly...

Oh yeah, Steve has the added advantage of actually being able to swim... and I guess we should also include the fact that Steve can still fight and forage without tools.

Have we noted that Steve needs to both eat and sleep, while the Terrarian doesn't?

Doesn't matter. How do you know how much the fictional substances weigh?

Because the materials exist in the real world, and the blocks in both games have a confirmed block size? Oak wood and copper aren't "fictional substances."

I mean redstone, netherrack, soul sand, mythril, demonite, chlorophyte, etc. Fictional substances. You know, the things in the games that don't exist in the real world. Nice try, though.

Well, obviously we can't know, unless the devs outright say "this is the density of demonite" or whatever. So, we use things we DO know the weight of. Are you legitimately trying to discredit me for NOT using substances with no defined mass?
