[15, 4] (Golem's foot is damaged by the blast, and the shotgun blast hits home. Golem noticably stumbles back, and his head flies off from the force of it. It than reattaches, and the hands fire upwards, onto a Lizhard brick platform that it summoned. It grapples up, moving surprisingly quickly. It than fires 5 lasers at him [20, 13, 12, 6, 9])
(10, 12, 17, 8, 15) Raising his hefty gatling gun to shield against the blast, the first shot goes higher, piercing the machine directly through the front of the face, the second grazing its head. In more of a reaction than a conscious effort, the gatling gun is hefted higher, blocking all of the subsequent blasts, but remaining damaged beyond use. The tubes disconnect and shakily retract from Zinque's back as he tosses the thing aside.

The machine grips the front of his rectangular head in one hand, Coral dripping between his fingers, the bright red liquid glistening against his dark plating.

He looks up, the shattered gap in his lens dripping heavily, it looks as if the machine is crying. The radiant pupil blazes to life once again in the machine's gaze, locking onto Golem's core. Conjuring forth and igniting two more spears, the machine bolts forwards, hurling one spear at the core (10) then waiting at the ready with another.

({20] Golem retracts his arms, falling down with a damaging shockwave [17. I rerolled from a 19 because I thought I was too lucky. Oh well] dodging the attack. Golem awaits his next move.

(4) The machine is flung back, spear in its grip clattering away and exploding.

Pushing back to his feet, Zinque is lightly sparking, frame shuddering a bit as he moves, its clear this fight, though still without substantial wounds, has left him worse for wear.

Splitting a rift across his palm, the machine reaches in with the other hand, withdrawing some sort of heavy pistol as he walks slowly towards Golem, firing single plasma pulse shots at its head and eyes. They aren't exactly all that potent, it seems to be trying to get Golem to react? (1 ,6, 10)

[10, 19, 2] (the first two plasma shots dissipate on contact, but the third hits true. Golem slightly recoils, and notices the sparking. It decides to wait and see how this goes.)

(Also, Cobalt, heads up about this post if you didn't see it:
(I guess I was too late...
Oh well, my plan of Stygian and Nathan possibly encountering the Corrupt Mimic and fighting it may still come to fruition! I'll want to wait until Esther and Cobalt are online though, so if it happens it'll likely be tomorrow.)

(To preface my answer: From now on I'll refer to the being whom Stygian is harboring as 'the Darkness' when addressing it individually in Stygian's head. The name 'Stallion of Shadows' is more of a nickname arisen from rumor and legend; it'll be a more fitting nickname if and when it reveals its physical form. (Technically the Darkness probably wouldn't know about this nickname yet because it likely arose after it was banished to Limbo (from rumor and legend, as I just mentioned), but I can pull a funny and make him "come up" with the name.) Also, I realized that he can use magic with his horn other than shooting beams of darkness, so I'm adding that to his Abilities description. I may want to add technical details as to how his fighting skill will work with regards to roll modifiers and such, but I don't have much experience with that, so I'll put that off 'till later. (I'll probably ask Green_Meta for help.))
(Here's an updated character sheet:
{go to the post}
)
(Now, regarding Bow-Eye's list: While not much may be known about the Darkness' past, I certainly wouldn't put it past it to murder innocent people at some point, so yeah, it'd be on the list. Fortunately for me, it's undetectable right now. Though if it does anything outside of thinking or subtly influencing Stygian's train of thought—say, possessing him to attack someone, or using a shadowy tendril to chuck a dart at a dartboard—Bow-Eye and the list would know. Does that sound acceptable?)

Tom has joined Limbo.
"He's alive?! Fantastic news!"
It was at that moment that he noticed a Corrupt Mimic not too far away... the same one that killed Tom.

(Gtg again for an hour or so)
(I suppose the fight (or flight) will have to be put off until later.)

[10, 19, 2] (the first two plasma shots dissipate on contact, but the third hits true. Golem slightly recoils, and notices the sparking. It decides to wait and see how this goes.)
The machine continues to fire, walking a bit closer, almost within punching range.. (4, 13, 7)

"Well of course I can, but first can you tell me if you want 1 or 2 guns, second tell me if you want me to give it a design, and if it's two guns do you want the same design or different on each gun, finally do you what to name them or shall I?"
(I'm a gun nut IRL so please forgive me.)

"I'd like two... no, three guns please, seeing as you're being so mighty generous. I'd like the first one to be made with black paint and engraved with silver, with designs based of off themes of the forest. The second, a 1856 brass frame Remington model revolver, same modifications as the colt navy with blackened steel for the barrel and cylinder. The first, I'd like named... Gereg, it has meaning in my home language. It's short for Geregtigheid. The second, Vryheid. Now, I recognize when I'm pushing my luck but I've always wanted a lever-action rifle. I'd appreciate a Marlin model 308. This one is yours to customize. Now, I anticipate that this may come at a cost, however, I don't see much wealth going around, but I can make leather products. Also... my fingers and hands might be a bit larger than your usual customers. Can I give you measurements?"
"So I died, but I came back to life on some really technical laws of Terraria. I'm glad to see you again."
"Indeed it is my friend! How was... your time away from us?"

[20, 11, 11] (The first shot dissipates, the second hits, and the third also disappears. Golem's head flies off, and four laser beams appear north, east, south, and west of the opposing robot from Golem's mouth, closing in on him)

The machine stops, waiting in place... (-5 to current defense roll.. being none in this case, -5 to current attack roll, also being none..)

A warm red glow washes in little waves across the machine, head's lens glowing brighter as it awaits an attack.. The machine slowly opens its non-gun-holding palm, a rift slowly cracking open beside it.

As Mega Riolu meditates, he searches his memories...
He finds himself in his hometown.
He looks around, and sees Riolu running towards Inigo Montoya.
Grabbing a rock, he noclips into the air and starts flying.
While he flies, he throws the rock at Riolu. But Riolu dodges the rock, and sees Mega Riolu. He retaliates with an Aura Sphere, but Mega Riolu teleports behind Riolu and hits him with a Reverse Aura Punch. Riolu's body falls onto the ground, dead, and Mega Riolu resumes his flight towards the island.
He gets on the computer again, searching for Double Trouble.
And then he finds something.

"...What?"
As Mega Riolu thinks about what he just read, the page is blocked.
"Forbidden data accessed. Terminating wireless connection. Goodbye, Mega Riolu."
Mega Riolu stops meditating.

(I wish there was a way to look like a skeleton in-game. I know there's the Skull, but it's just not enough; besides, you can't wear any head slot items on top of it.)

(Here's an updated character sheet:
Name: The Darkness

Nicknames (Optional): the Stallion of Shadows (abbreviated OOC as SoS)
(this name originated from rumor and legend and whatnot)

Gender: genderless parasite

Text Color: #1D1D1D (bold, 18 text size)
View attachment 489382

Appearance: Large, bulky, shadowy horse-like monster with wings and an upwardly curved horn. It seems to fully consist of the same kind of goopy shadow substance.

Personality: Confident, malicious, revengeful, and a bit cocky

Equipment (Optional): a feeble human named Stygian who is trapped inside of it (he cannot be seen)

Theme (Optional): undecided

Backstory (Optional): The Darkness found Stygian alone and in a vulnerable emotional state, so it took him as its host, creating the Stallion of Shadows.

Abilities: Similar to Venom, it can easily shape and extend itself into whatever form it pleases (though it tries to keep the host concealed), and regulate its tangibility in denseness (for example, it could turn an appendage gaseous and intangible when being attacked, and then turn it rock solid to attack back). It can also fly, and gather/disperse dark clouds and smoke and that sort of thing. Using its horn, it can use magic in the same way Stygian does, but much stronger, and with a black glow instead of a blue one. Unlike Stygian, it can shoot beams of dark energy from its horn.

Strengths: Incredibly powerful, just look at its abilities! Stronger in the darkness, and much stronger with a host.

Height: When standing at regular full height in horse form, ~18 feet (~5.5 meters); a bit taller than the average adult giraffe

Weight: unknown

Exploitable flaws: Bright light weakens it to some degree, and it is much weaker without a host (still very dangerous, but plausibly defeatable).

Extras (Optional): I know it doesn't make sense to call it the Stallion of Shadows when it doesn't have a gender, but it sounds cool. As of the start of Stygian entering the world of Limbo, it's dormant and undetectable in him. The SoS may awaken under unique circumstances, such as being exposed to too much dark magic.

[has he or hasn't he done enough to be on the victim list]
[if so, what tier would he be in?]
[Here's a reference of points and what tiers they get you in.]
[1: 1000]
[2: 25,000]
[3: 50,000]
[4: 100,000]
[5: 625,000]
[6: 950,000]
[7: 7,500,000]
[8: 12,500,000]
[9: 275,000,000]
[10: 2,250,000,000]
[11: 9,750,000,000,000]
[basically 1 is ":red:ed up dude who's done bad things but can be redeemed", 2 is ":red:ed up dude who's done bad things and can't be redeemed", 3 is "really bad dude, deserves torment for his actions, but not a lot of torment", 4 is just "this man belongs in hell, so here's a 1-1 replica of hell that I monitor", 5 is "this man deserves worse than hell", 6 is "Hell is not enough, and neither is 5. He deserves a lot worse", 7 is "the fact this guy exists makes serial killers look like saints and makes sociopaths seem like empaths." A notable person in here is Nicholas Terrel, Bow-Eye's first victim; 8 is "Their actions cannot be forgiven even with a million eternities of repentance", 9 is "even with infinite time they would never even get a trillionth of a way there to having repented enough." A notable person here is Xavier Nelson, Bow-Eye's second victim; 10 is "They are the worst possible beings to live. They treat life like a video game where you play as a villain, and they're doing the worst route morally. Their favorite food is flesh, their favorite music is the painful wails of those they've hurt, and they've got more blood on their face than they have atoms. The most notable person in tier 10 is Little Cousin Contact, only 127,524 points short of being in 11.", and 11 is "Scratch that. 10 is a lie. The people in 10 look like pure, holy saints, sent by god to bring world peace and bring love to all compared to those in 11. Only 5 people are in 11, Tobias Morton, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Theodore Dashin, Samuel Dashin, & Joshua Stainton (Obsideyean).]

(The laser beams converge on the robot, hitting hard (do I count the -5 defense roll for this attack?)
(No, the -5 was the roll reduction for his FOCUS mechanic to buff his next rolls. It was used strategically in a lapse of combat, so I just need whatever the default attack rolls are.)

(FOCUSED buffs included, 10, 4, 7, 12) The machine’s frame is cloaked in a red miasma as it attempts to dodge, too little; too late. The pulses rip through its armor, marring the machine pretty deeply along the torso as it is spun and flung out by the odd angles of impact from the lasers.

Zinque drops his pistol as he struggles to remain upright, Coral dripping all along the ground around him.

Sinking to a knee, he rips open a rift, shouldering out a massive explosive launcher of some sort. He hefts it up, leaning back a bit as he tilts his head to the side, the huge thing clicking as a missile loads into the barrel.

Recoiling a bit with each shot, the machine fires three high-speed, high yield rockets towards the torso of Golem. (FOCUSED buffs accounted for: (4, 4, 9) (I got two 1’s 😭)

(Esther, is it OK if someone infects Corrupt Riolu with a computer virus to turn him into a new virus? Said virus is spread in the same way as the Rooted Corruption, but it can only infect people and robots, and it forces those it infects to help protect the Universe jail and prevent its prisoners from escaping.)
(I'd rather not. Sorry.)
...Not having the best day?
"Not really."
(I suppose the fight (or flight) will have to be put off until later.)
