NPCs & Enemies More Fishing Enemies (not just blood moon)

I was just fishing in the desert for pearls and thought... fishing is kinda boring. What if you could randomly find enemies under certain conditions other than just the blood moon?

I plan to fully flesh this out at some point with potential enemies but for now heres the rough idea.

There should be fishing enemies for:

-Sandstorms (sand shark?)
-Blizzards (ice elemental or some new enemy)
-Solar Elipse (Creature from the deep/swamp thing?)
-Martian Invasion (some mutant space fish?)
-Post Moon Lord? (sea serpent miniboss occasionally fished up in the Valor)
-Lantern nights?
-Meteor showers (meteor heads without the biome requirement)
-Evil biomes?
-Certain structures like the temple/dungeon
-A few minor enemies based on biome. These would be things like maybe a flying fish etc? Since this would apply to all fishing at all times (not limited to some other condition), the chance for them should be very low, and the enemies would be basic/nothing too special.

Eh... I think keeping them limited mostly to the Blood Moon is best. Having to deal with enemies while you're trying to fish up other valuable loot would be really, really obnoxious and would make Sonar Potions all but mandatory. Under that logic, I suppose fishing up an enemy in the Dungeon would be OK, since there's nothing good in the Dungeon, but... well... for obvious reasons I'm against that.

I legitamately haven't ever decided to try to fish in the dungeon. Although following the logic of events, maybe some fishing enemies during a Solar eclipse? Or a slime rain?

Slime Rain is a good idea. I'd support slime fishing enemies, for sure. Solar Eclipse, maybe... could be an excuse to bring back the Severed Hand enemy.

How often do you fish in the dungeon? How often do you fish during sandstorms and blizzards? how often do you fish during martian invasions or solar ecipses?

Probably None becuase there is currently no reason to. This would simply add additional incentive if these enemies had special drops like the blood moon ones.

As for the very rare chance I mentioned that you fish up something outside of these conditions? The intent was just to keep players on their toes and make fishing slightly more interesting rather than just standing still and clicking every few seconds. This was not intended to be an annoying or excessively difficult enemy, but simply knowing there is a chance for that to happen I think would be good.

Sandstorms and blizzards, I'll give you that. Martian Invasions and Solar Eclipses... I've got bigger fish to fry, so to speak. As it is, there's a ton of incentive not to fish during invasions, and adding more enemies to the player's load won't help that at all. When you're surrounded by dangerous enemies trying to kill you, the last thing you want is another dangerous enemy trying to kill you. If anything, it would remind me not to fish during those times.

Which is exactly why there should be a rare fishing enemy with a good drop during those events.

Yeah, I had the same thoughts as Big Sammich here. During invasions, we are kind of too busy. It's only when the blood moon gets too relaxing that players even think about fishing. Enemies appearing in the waters could make sense during a solar eclipse, but as the solar eclipse becomes even harder after Plantera, I feel there is no space for new content there.

Overall, I wouldn't like to have the fear of fishing up enemies in general, and fishing is stressful enough with all the mobs from the surroundings that can already attack you. With that said, if you can come up with ideas that would compensate for the added stress, then sure, add some enemies to fish up somewhere. I wouldn't mind too much, especially since sonar potions exist.
