The ability to click the crystal to hurry up the countdown to the next wave is great, but how about a challenge for when you become geared or have a group? Click the crystal while the countdown isn't present to launch the next wave immediately. Feeling lucky punk? Click the crystal 7 times and try all waves at once! I feel Betsy should pop towards the end so that some actual crystal defense is required instead of focusing on solely on Betsy. Maybe the Betsy at the end of the Hyper Mode is a Hyper Betsy. Maybe an achievement could go along with doing all 7 (tier 3) at once.
