The tiles of the actual pot can be painted though but the plant themselves are not showing any color changes when painted.

Do other plants change when their pot is planted? Is it only the lava plants that differ?

Only certain parts of it can be painted, for the Potted Magma Palm for example you can paint the trunks and the pot but the leaves cannot be painted since those aren't technically tiles. It is the same as you can't paint the crystals for Pylons since they're graphics not actual tiles.

For non Lava Potted Plants it works so I was udner the impression that it is a bug. I'm prividing a screen shot. Of course I treated the lava plants like the class ones without thinking a second the items could work differently code wise so it's definitely my bad if it's actually not a bug. Sorry if that's the case, I should have thought more.
