PC Solar Eclipse, Blood Moon, Solar Eclipse.

but no hallow keys. It took me nearly 5 playthroughs before I could FINALLY get the rainbow gun achievement.
It took me something like 20 Pirate Invasions before I got a Hallow Key. (Pirate Invasions were - at the time - what I thought would generate the most number of enemies with least amount of effort, while also being the easiest event to attain. In 1.3+, Solar Eclipses from Solar Tablets is probably faster.) It was the last key I got by far.

Huh. I never thought to use Tablets in 1.3+ for Biome Keys... but then again, in 1.3, you don't really need the Biome Keys, because the weapons from those are rather.... .. weak.

People still praise the Vampire Knives, but seriously? You heal 1-3 per hit. Woo. One shot from a Corite does 40-50+ with Tank Gear, Crawltipedes do similar, and a lot of the magic/ranged enemies do similar as well. That 1-3 healed per hit with the Vampire Knives (which are hilariously weak compared to something like Solar Eruption) suddenly doesn't seem so awesome when you're cutting your DPS in half or more to not even keep up with damage taken.

Yeah, the allure of the biome weapons is kind of gone. Pre 1.3, they could be the best weapons available. Their main selling point was that they were unique - only the Rainbow Gun has a lingering effect (I think?), Vampire Knives are the only weapon that can heal, Frost Hydra Staff was one of two sentry minions.

Then along came the Lunar weapons, which far outpace anything the Dungeon has to offer. (In a way, the Moon events and Fishron also outclass dungeon weapons.)

V-Knives can be improved - the Godly prefix is practically a requirement for them to be useful. That alone is sufficient to attack almost all bosses and all of the Lunar pillars with. Combine it with some Menacing accessories and other melee boosters and they can be quite formidable - around 100 points of damage per knife. But there is no denying that they are comparatively weak, and you'll be spending a lot longer fighting enemies with V-Knives than with other weapons.

I remember playing Mobile Terraria and I was trying to improve on my NPC house, abd so the game decides to throw a BM, SE, BM, SE at me xD
It was so relieving when the next night came and no BM happened again.
