From how long the floating islands have been in the game I feel like they have been neglected, I'm not wanting to sound mean to the developers that have worked soo hard on such a wonderful game. I just feel like the floating island could do with some love, like a floating castle as if there was a civilisation in the clouds, and it could have various new weapons and accessories and such.
I also think that space could do with a touch up as well, like some asteroids or space junk or even a laboratory, or a new alien biome (arena for Martian invasion
). I think these changes could be really cool and it would give the upstairs region of terraria more of a reason to explore rather than making enormous boss arenas.
I'd be happy to come up with more in-depth suggestions in this field if someone takes interest in this thread.
